Something Different For Thanksgiving Dinner

Sun Oct 28, 2007, 5:50 PM
If you are like me and a few thousand other people you are going to a relative house for Thanksgiving. Well I have a recipe that’s is not only different but has that taste you get when you go to a nice restaurant and bite into something and say “ I wish I could cook like this “ I don’t have a name for it yet, but maybe you people out there could think of one.

You know Mom is going to make the Turkey and Sis is bringing the Green Bean casserole and of course Aunt Mille is going to make her famous Pumpkin Pie. So why not take something different to the table.

Here we go bear with me never done this before

You will need at least

1 lb of lean Hamburger meat
1 egg
1 large block of Mozzarella cheese
1 large block of Swiss cheese
1 big bag of large egg noodles
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
1 pint of heavy cream
1 I like to get 2 containers of small button mushrooms
Parmesan cheese I use the already grated kind
1 container of season bread crumbs
And ½ a hand full of parsley

Take the hamburger and an egg some of your season bread crumbs some Italian seasoning I put in some onion powder and garlic salt mix it together and That is my meatball stuff

Take the mushrooms and quarter some of them to put into the middle of your meatballs  I put a little mozzarella cheese in there too

Make up as many as you can with your meatball mix (they are going to be big because of the mushrooms)

Now fry them in some good Extra Virgin olive oil until light brown

Cook up your Pasta until almost done

Mix the two cans of mushroom soup with 1 can of heavy cream

Cut of the blocks of cheese into small cubes

Finely chop up parsley

Mix everything into a big baking dish I use a big deep cake pan Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and Bread crumbs

** I always have extra mushrooms so I put whole mushrooms between the meatballs and chop up steams to mix in with the rest **

Cover and bake at 325 for about 1 hour I had to take mine out at 45 min because I was afraid of burning so just watch it like I said I thought of this and it is still under construction LOL

Let it rest for about 10 min. and Walla it is ready

I am going to take this dish with me to Missouri for my family Thanksgiving dinner I hope you will try it and get back to me

Thank You
